The Weatheroutes App helps drivers avoid weather hazards. Simple to use yet very powerful as it quickly conveys any upcoming weather phenomena that can impact road conditions, visibility, and in general safe driving.
The app features two exclusive and unique features, Smart Forecast and Smart Trip Planner.

SMART FORECAST
Next generation weather forecast
What is shown here is not the familiar radar map because when it's down to driving road conditions, one map doesn't fit it all.
Instead, we custom process hourly forecast data based on position and time of departure. We stitch together the information provided by the weather service to create a personal map that allows for a quick and clear view of what weather conditions will occur during a trip up to 48 hours ahead within a precise space-time reference.

Put it simply, Smart Forecast show how the weather will be at all points of your trip, from departure to arrival.
We further refine the weather forecast data to focus on what is important for drivers in terms of potential hazards that will impact road conditions, visibility, temperature, wind, and safety.​

Real-time processing of the Smart Forecast maps allows for quickly checking how the weather conditions will evolve by declaring a different departure time using the slider UI control at the bottom of the screen.

SMART TRIP PLANNER
Navigation based on weather conditions
Smart Trip Planner takes advantage of Smart Forecast to offer a more precise picture of weather conditions during a trip.
We have developed a special routing algorithm that takes into account weather forecasts when computing the best itinerary.
Adverse weather conditions can not only be hazardous but also can slow down the vehicle. For each segment of the trip, we are computing a proprietary numerical factor that similarly to traffic will affect the average speed and also the time it takes to travel it.

We take that information and we feed the algorithm the new data. The result is a route that not only will be the fastest but it will also be the safest in relation to forecasted weather conditions.

Put it simply, Smart Forecast shows how the weather will be at all points of your trip, from departure to arrival.
​
The Trip Planner has a number of options to help customize the routes based on personal preferences. Rather than just computing the fastest route option let you completely avoid when a possible thunderstorm, snow, damaging winds, rain, freezing precipitation, fog, and poor visibility.
